What’s been happening in Canada since legalisation?

Statistics Canada released their much-anticipated report on what’s changed since cannabis was legalised a year ago.

The results were heartening for those concerned about youth use and the public health effects of legalisation.

The major stand-out, yell-from-the-rooftops result was that use by those aged 15-17 has declined dramatically, and much more than anyone would have predicted. The percentage of people in that age group who had used in the past three-months nearly halved, from 19.8% to 10.4%.

Policy and Advocacy Manager Kali Mercier compiled this summary.
